The Maison Paresse
“Carefreeness is necessary. One must stop to pick the roses.” Jean Giono
Paresse Paris was born in the thrill of the City of Lights. It draws on the whispers of a rich past to offer unexpected treasures. It's a haven, a clearing in the heart of tumult.
Its objects whisper the love of nature and reinvent memories of enchanted moments. Each creation is an invitation to slow down, to lay hands on real materials, to rediscover in a gift the simple emotion of a suspended moment.
Paresse Paris is a refuge, a place of balance between the beautiful and the useful, between the love of things well done and the nostalgia for the little pleasures of yesteryear. It's the idea that a gift can be more than an object: a transmission, a memory, a sliver of light to keep close to you or to give as a present.
It's up to you to pick the roses.

About us
It all starts with tender, happy memories, supported by audacity.
Julien Goudard-Lemoine was inspired by his maternal grandmother... In her workshops, where a hundred embroiderers and seamstresses worked, Sylviane Porthault excelled at making the world's most beautiful linens.
"I remember spending hours watching craftsmen working on exceptional creations. My grandmother used to tell me that the work of the hand is nothing other than the extension of thought and the expression of feelings".
Julien began his professional career with the family firm D. Porthault, before joining Hermès to develop the identity and skills of the maison Puiforcat, silversmith.
Javier Garcia has always been passionate about the sense of detail that goes into every creation, developing a keen sense for the beautiful and the useful, objects that last and are passed on.
"French craftsmanship goes beyond a precise gesture; it expresses creation in minute detail, and beyond that, imagination, freedom and a relationship with time that are dear to me".
With art studies at Rhode Island School of Design and a diploma from Parsons School of New York, Javier began his career at various fashion companies in NYC, specializing in accessories for woman, men and home. In 2010, Javier left NYC to join Julien in Paris.
When Julien founded Maison Paresse Paris, he was expressing a somewhat selfish desire: to share all the emotional necessities that make him feel good. Javier's creativity transforms these dreams into reality. Together, they work to enchant our lives, where every moment must be cherished.
