WASHING

Avoid adding colored items to your wash cycle. White loves to absorb any color it finds along the way! Unlike colored textiles, whites much prefer powder detergents that contain whitening agents. Add two tablespoons of sodium percarbonate during washing to help restore brightness to the fabric fibers.

DRYING

Air drying in the sun is best. If tumble drying, choose a low-temperature cycle to avoid overheating the fibers and causing them to yellow.

IRONING

As with drying, pay attention to temperature: too much heat can affect white textiles and cause them to yellow. Choose a medium temperature rather than a high setting on your iron. You may use steam and press the iron firmly onto the fibers. Do not leave the iron too long on the same area, to avoid overheating the textile fibers.
